Bohemia Interactive has announced a new DLC coming to the game. Today we have gotten new insights on the DLC. In this article we’ll have some unique screenshots and information regarding the new DayZ DLC, including a release date!
What is the name of the new dayz map?
The name of the DLC will be called Badlands. But just like the Frostline DLC which was released earlier in 2024. The actual map that comes with Badlands has its own name. The map is called Nasdara.
Nasdara is a unique map with a desert and dry theme. Players will have to scavenge for water in the drought and manage their heat levels.
The map is located in Takistan, a region familiar to many players. This region is famous for its dry and sandy environment. Confirmed we are getting NEW weather events and unique game assets.

Badlands terrain surface blending
Another nice change that will be implemented with the new DLC is the improvement of the terrain surface blending. Before we could experience blockiness, but after this update the terrain looks much more realistic.

DayZ Badlands Release date & Price
The DayZ developers have officially announced that the new DLC will be coming to all players in 2026. When this will be, we don’t know exactly but based on exclusive inside information we estimate Q2. That means the DayZ developers have little over a year. The price of the DLC will be somewhere UNDER $25.
We are very excited with what the progress on the map is so far and what the map is going to look like!
